Ingredients ↗Hyaluronic acid — the molecule that holds 1000x its weight in water
Hydration is the base of every routine, and hyaluronic acid is the king of hydration. How it works, the mistake that makes it useless, and how to use it right.

If skincare had a "universal water", it would be hyaluronic acid: a molecule the body makes itself, holding up to 1000x its weight in water — and one that starts running low after 25.
What it actually does
Hydrates without grease, plumps the fine dehydration lines (the ones that look like wrinkles but are thirst), and preps skin to absorb the serums after it. Safe for every skin type — acne-prone and sensitive included.
The mistake that makes it useless
Hyaluronic acid is a humectant: it pulls water from the environment or from deeper layers. If you apply it on DRY skin and don't follow with cream, it "steals" water from your skin — drying it more. The rule: apply on damp skin and seal with cream.
Our hydration duo
- COSRX Oil-Free Birch Lotion — 70% birch sap + hyaluron: pure moisture for every skin.
- TIRTIR Ceramic Cream — ceramides lock in the water hyaluron pulled: the "pull + seal" combo that makes hydration last all day.
How to add it to your routine
Morning: cleanser → hyaluron on damp skin → cream → SPF. Evening: same without SPF. Within a week you feel the difference; within a month you see it.
